3. Definitions

Sexual Violence includes any sexual act or attempt to obtain a sexual act by violence, coercion, or threat. It encompasses sexual assault, sexual harassment, stalking, indecent exposure, voyeurism, and any non-consensual sexual activity.

Sexual Harassment refers to unwelcome conduct, comments, gestures, or contact of a sexual nature that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment.

Consent means voluntary, active, and clear agreement to engage in sexual activity. Consent cannot be assumed, coerced, or obtained through power imbalance, intimidation, or intoxication.

Prime International College does not tolerate any form of sexual violence, sexual harassment, or discrimination. All members of the college community share the responsibility to maintain a culture of respect, safety, and accountability. The college will take all reasonable steps to prevent such conduct, respond promptly to all complaints, and provide appropriate support to affected individuals.

5. Reporting Procedures

  1. Reporting Options:
    • Any student or staff member who experiences or witnesses sexual violence or harassment may report it verbally or in writing to the Designated College Official (e.g., the Director of Student Services or Campus Administrator).
    • Reports may also be made anonymously through the college’s confidential reporting system, if available.
  2. Confidentiality:
    • The college will treat all reports with sensitivity and confidentiality to the fullest extent possible, consistent with legal and investigative requirements.
  3. Immediate Safety:
    • In situations where immediate safety is at risk, individuals should contact local emergency services (911) and notify the campus administration as soon as possible.
  4. Right to Withdraw:
    • Individuals may choose to withdraw a complaint at any stage. The college may still proceed with an investigation if there are broader safety or legal obligations.

6. Investigation Process

  • Upon receiving a report, the Designated College Official will initiate a fair, impartial investigation within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Both complainant and respondent will have an opportunity to provide statements and evidence.
